“I Was Thirsty” – A Call to Quench the Soul - 2nd Sunday of Lent

  • First Congregational Church of Bakersfield-UCC 5 Real Road Bakersfield, CA, 93309 United States (map)

Pastor: Rev. Nancy Bacon
Scripture: Matthew 25:31-46

Jesus said, “I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink.”

Water is essential to life, yet so many in our world thirst—not just for clean water, but for justice, peace, and hope. This week, we reflect on spiritual thirst—the deep longing for belonging, truth, and meaning.

How are we called to quench the thirst of others? How do we offer the living water of Christ in a world filled with longing?

Come as we listen, reflect, and respond to Christ’s call to pour out love in a parched world.

Join us for worship as we continue this sacred journey.
