The Tuesday Morning Women's Group meets each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room to discuss the books they’ve chosen to explore.
Their Current book is Searching for Sunday by Rachel Held Evans. Rachel was a well-respected writer, the daughter of a college professor of theology, who grew up in an evangelical home, but gradually grew away from her theological roots. In this book, she traces the origins of her discontent with formal religion and examines the seven traditional sacraments (baptism, communion, etc.) while re-affirming what rings true for her in Christianity. Her insights always are remarkably fresh and original. Sadly, this marvelous thinker and writer suddenly died this May, which makes her essays especially touching and meaningful to our group.
